Louis began Primary school at St Josephs in Warrnambool, Australia in 1990 and after year 6, graduated to Emmanuel college in 1997. After 2 years at Emmanuel, Louis attended St. Patrick's College as a boarder, but sadly boarding was phased out here, so Louis entered Xavier College in Kew, Victoria in 2000, where he completed years 10, 11 and 12.
At Xavier, Louis developed some strong and genuine friendships, among them Tom Moulton (Tenno), Andrew Ryan (Andy) and Matthew Roache (Roachey.... or sometimes know as Bones).
Footy was the sport they all loved and played during the winter, the boarders having quite a strong team in the school league.
After graduating from school in 2002, Louis was accepted into The Australian Catholic University - the ACU - sometimes referred to as 'Australia's Coolest Uni' by its happy studensts He enrolled into Commerce and Marketing and during his second year, after completing a stint of work experience with Gaffney International Licensing Company, he was invited to be an intern.
After a year, Mr. Fred Gaffney, the President of Gaffney International invited Louis to join the company. Louis had 18 months of wonderful work and excellent experience under Fred's care, but realising he needed to complete his Univeristy degree to climb further up the corporate ladder, he returned to Uni full time at mid semester 2006.
During this time he played footy for Old Xaverian 3rds. He loves the gym and his music, where he writes the odd song, plays the guitar and sings.
In his earlier days, Louis showed he had some grit where he worked as a builder's labourer and later a gardener with CityView Landscape Gardens at Port Melbourne, to help survive the "payless' uni years.
On January 26th 2007 he and 3 of his best mates from school days Tenno, Roachey and Andy embarked on a well planned and much looked forward to trip to Thailand - this being the first overseas trip for him. The boys had purchased appropriate travel insurance and packed their back-packs, looking forward to a "Blokes Adventure Trip" which would include a lot of Vesper-scootering, para-gliding and jet-skiing.
On January 29th, only 3 days into the trip, Louis' life changed.
